I am a 46 year old wife, and Mom of 4 sons. I have a background as a personal trainer and had success getting into great shape following my pregnancies. As my boys grew and became very busy with sports I found I was putting my personal health and fitness on the back burner and eventually landed at 236 lbs at 5’4″ tall.
For years I tried to shed the weight using my knowledge and the plan that was so successful for me in the past. Something was missing as I wasn’t able to stick to it with any real consistency.
I was introduced to Keith Klein and his Lean Body Coaching program. After working with him and his amazing coaches I was able to figure out the mental pieces I was missing regarding food, and why I wasn’t able to sustain the healthy habits I needed to shed the weight. It has not been overnight but it has been steady and but I have lost approximately 95 lbs bringing me down to 140 lbs. Through the LBC program I have gained the knowledge and tools needed to ensure I will never go back to that weight and unhealthy state ever again.
I discovered Lean Body Coaching thru an Amazon Prime Video called “Beyond Weight Loss”. I was so impressed by Keith Klein in the video and what he was talking about made so much sense that I googled his name and it brought me to Lean Body Coaching website. I’ve never been an obese person but I had been gaining weight over the years not knowing why. I decided to take the plunge and set up a call which starting my journey with Lean Body Coaching. After my call with Coach Elizabeth, I discovered I basically wasn’t eating enough carbohydrates and eating too much “good fat”. I basically had to reprogram my brain because I was going to have to start eating a lot more food than I normally did. This was a very scary thing for me to do. I had to have faith in what my coach was telling me and starting eating 5 meals per day and more food than I ever ate and the scale kept dropping and I kept losing inches! I was amazed at how well this program worked for me! This is the first time I ever meal planned before and I think it’s a very convenient and simple having what you will eat for each meal all planned out. I feel that anyone is capable of following this program.
Good morning everyone. I am writing to all of you to show you that even when you are 60 (just turned on 9/1), you can lose weight the healthy and sustainable way. I joined LBC in April and today was my six-month weigh-in and photos. I only weighed myself once a month so to see the weight loss monthly was fantastic. I am proud to say I lost 41.6 pounds and a total of 30.25″ all over. Only 1.8 to my goal. I am 5’4″ and I started at 176.4 and today weighed in at 134.8. I was one of those skinny fat people when I used to lose weight because, not only did I not always eat healthy, I usually just ran for exercise. I figured if I ran I would lose more. Little did I know, I lost muscle with it. I also have been yo-yo dieting for well over 40 years. Trust me when I say…DO NOT DO THIS!!! As you can see, even though I have lost weight, I have a lot of saggy skin and I believe a lot of it is due to so much yo-yo dieting and no longer having elasticity in my skin. However, I would rather have saggy skin than be overweight and unhealthy. I can honestly say, I have probably tried most diets out there, but none have left me feeling satisfied and healthy as I do on the LBC lifestyle, nor did I feel they were sustainable as LBC is. I was concerned at the beginning about cooking healthy all the time because I am not one who likes to cook daily, so the very first thing I did was join Keith in the bulk cooking video and spent the day cooking. I actually fell in love with my bulk cooking day, and I usually prepare enough for at least two weeks worth of food. I cannot tell you how many times I have given thanks that my food is already prepared when I am tired or have no time to cook. It is a blessing to be able to just pack and go when I go to friends/family houses, and not a single person questions me eating my own food. I am truly blessed. So, PLEASE, trust this program, your coach, Keith and Lee, and know you will feel so grateful you did….I know I am. I am not done with my journey by any means, as I am looking at this as a life-long journey. I definitely want to work more on toning and firming what I can, and continually learning all I can to sustain my new healthy way of life. I am rooting for each and every one of us to continue losing, working out and sustaining our healthy lifestyles!!! Have a great, blessed day
Here you go: Forever grateful to Lean Body Coaching Online. They debunk all the myths about the food industry and provide a no-nonsense approach to getting healthy. Before I came across them, I was tired, sluggish and had limited energy for my active lifestyle. They taught me how to fuel myself efficiently in a way that’s unique to my lifestyle. I’ve always been very active (minus a couple of periods in my life when I’ve gone through personal issues) and the system is so easy, I’ve always been able to pick up where I left off. If you haven’t watched it already, I would highly recommend watching Beyond Weight Loss Movie – it’s a real eye opener.
I just finished up my last set of pics/measurements today and I was shocked! It’s kinda hard to tell how much your body is changing until you see your pics from 6th months ago 😮. I’m beyond grateful for this program & all those who inspired me to join it! Honestly, being a single mom of 4, I didn’t think I would be able to meal prep. It was overwhelming at first but now it has become my norm and simplified my life so much.
My 2 biggest takeaways from the program are:
1. Small, consistent changes practiced over a long period of time produce HUGE results &
2. Do a little more, a little better, every day.
Life is busy and it is easy to slip back into bad habits or make poor choices from time to time. What matters is what you do after the fact. Are you gonna choose to get back on track towards your goals or throw in the towel and start gaining the weight back?
I would encourage you if you started the program, see it through. You will not regret it!
I have dropped 10% body fat, gained 4 lbs of muscle and lost 14lbs 🙌🏻. I can’t wait to see where I’m at a year from now!
Shoutout to my coach Elizabeth Risberg who was so helpful and amazing throughout the whole process 🤗
Good Morning Everyone! This is a long post but I hope it helps! While I am not actually competing this year, I am following the challenge and continuing my fitness journey. Thank you to Coach Elizabeth for adding all these helpful posts.
Let me start by saying, I gain nothing from this post other than the satisfaction of knowing that I will possibly help someone. About 6 months ago, I was desperate to the point I was going on thyroid medication that I did not actually need and ready to resort to whatever it took to stop gaining weight. My husband encouraged me to try this Lean Body Coaching Program that I had seen. It seemed affordable but I was scared to try it. With the help of the Lean Body Coaching program, I have lost just over 20 pounds since July. My waist has gone down about 2.5 inches, my hips have lost 3 inches and my belly fat has gone down 7 inches! I will drop some progress photos in the comments.
I had been working out 5 and 6 days a week for about 5 years and was very frustrated with my progress. I thought I was doing everything right but was getting nowhere. I was regularly gaining weight instead of losing or leaning out. I had the motivation to rarely eat anything bad. This went on for a few years, only to be getting nowhere. I was at my breaking point, feeling hopeless. I tried it all; low fat, low carb, counting macros. My weight would go down and then back up. Then one day it just stopped going down and only going up.
Joining LBC was the best decision! Right away, I began to receive information from my wonderful coach, Elizabeth. She was so encouraging, motivating, and reassuring to me that we would get through this. I began to learn right away that I was making some very common mistakes and that I could enjoy all sorts of meals while still losing weight. I eat more now than I ever have, and this includes carbs. I had to trust her on this journey but what did I have to lose? What I was doing wasn’t working. The recipes she gave me are so easy to make and delicious; they make it so easy to stay on track. I love that my coach is available and responds quickly to my questions. She never makes me feel embarrassed or worried about the questions I ask. There is not enough room on the page to list all the reason why I love this program! If you are struggling, I would encourage you to give Lean Body Coaching a try.
Great news to share!
Today was my annual physical. My doctor was shocked with the results. My weight is down 12% (since he recorded in July) and the doctor ordered me to stop taking prescribed blood pressure medicine. The same medicine prescribed to me 5 years ago.
Hello All Stars!
Been a little quiet lately. I do the same thing everyday pretty much. I get up. I run. I work. I eat. Some days I’m on track. Some days I strive for progress and not perfection and some days I just screw it right up. I am human. My goal is to break the diet mentality and have a good relationship with food.
Keith’s post about eating the same thing every day hit me.
When I was married I used to cook dinner for my family. Loved it. I was pretty much the same size and felt awesome. A little leaner because i ate whole food 90% of the time and didn’t feel deprived.
I’ve been divorced for over two and half years now and for a good part of that year I was on a diet plan. So I made one meal for me and one for the kids. My meal was plain and simple and sometimes hardly anything at all.
Tonight in staff room we were talking about supper. I wanted pizza. So I went to grocery store and picked up everything healthy to make it.
Portebella mushroom as my base. Sauce with whole ingredients, no sugar. Dairy free cheese.
I didn’t eat my way to supper. I even have leftovers for lunch which I am excited about. Not the same lunch. My plan this weekend is to reignite my cooking of supper and not just chicken again with salad, look up new, healthy, clean, whole food recipes. I used to look forward to supper and therefore I didn’t feel the need to eat through the day. My hard time is right when I get home. If I’m making supper, I don’t have time to be eating crap! New routine. New ritual. Breaking a habit.
I’ve run several half’s in my life but crushed my goal today and largely in part to a much better fueling source. Thanks to Chuck Dertinger for the awesome advice and this groups motivation!
Happy Saturday everyone! Several years ago I enrolled in a nutrition program, my instructor had this picture hanging in the classroom. To say a picture speaks a thousand words…
this pic is a reality check for me. Looking great , wearing anything I want is awesome but health is my main ongoing goal and the best way to achieve it is to understand it is all about lifestyle not a diet and exercise. The Keith Klein way works, always has and always will! If you had the typical dieters mindset of constant and continual deprivation you are setting yourself up for failure. When I am in a situation where I can’t eat perfectly clean, I make a better bad choice or plan a cheat but my next meal is clean. No guilt and no perpetual indulgence. That is what Keith has reconfirmed for me. As we head into the holiday season be confident, be strong, and as Kim says trust the process!! We got this!
Before LBC, I use to snack a lot between 2-4pm. It used to be a time that my kids napped and now it’s the time my kids get home from school. I started a very bad habit or ritual of eating things to de-stress from the hectic day. Now, when I feel the habit creeping back up, I have a cup of mint green tea. It’s just enough sweet from the spearmint that I don’t feel the need to sweeten it and it satisfies that craving for “something.” Hope this helps someone!
After gaining 15 lbs since starting my new job two years ago, I needed to make a change. I did DietBet starting January 1 and did lose weight…. and thought about food and my weight all the time! The challenge ended and you can see the blip of weight gain before April when I started LBC. I have reached my goal weight, but found that wasn’t really my goal. I feel healthier. I am back at the gym 5 days a week at 5am before work. My husband has joined me at the gym and eating healthier. This week we close on our soundfront second home where we hope to retire (eventually!). Our goal we found was not our weights or our waist line. It is to be on a journey of good health and fitness so we can enjoy this life we have been given to its fullest!
Even though I did my lifting workout at the gym at 5am, I used the time before my son’s baseball game, while they were warming up, to run the fields at the baseball park for an extra 20 minutes of cardio. 🎉 😃 This journey, for me, is about learning how to work smarter not harder. I’m at the phase of life where we are BUSY: I work full time as a speech therapist, have my own hobbies (tennis), have 2 boys with their activities (hockey and baseball for one, and gymnastics and Cub Scouts for the other) and my husband works, coaches hockey and plays in his own men’s league. Since I can’t create more minutes in the day (or sleep less, which I REALLY wish I could 😬 ), I need to learn to take advantage of the few minutes here and there to make productive choices. Meal planning and prep has been revolutionary for me in keeping my nutrition on track! 🎉 🎉 💕
I decided to compare my first LBC All Stars Facebook post (which was in October) to where I am at now. I am so thankful for this program, the coaches, everyone in this group, and for all that I have learned. I can’t believe it has already been 24 weeks since I started the program!

Hello LBC! Welcome to all the new folks coming in to the group and so many friends and familiar faces. I’ll just put it out there that both Julia and I have really enjoyed being here. The coaches are fantastic. Nothing but positive encouragement and high energy. Have an awesome night!👊 😊
Happy Monday! Thanks so much for the kind recognition today LBC. I’m using this as motivation as I press forward on my journey of getting lean again. I have to testify that I enjoy my food more than ever before and very much appreciate the support of my completely awesome coach Chuck as well as C. Elizabeth, Kim and Keith. It’s been a very very very positive and welcoming experience for Julia and I. Thanks so much for that.
Ok, so I have to make a confession 🙋 ! I don’t meal prep, at all. BUT what I do do (I know that sounds a little strange 😂 ) is I plan! I plan everything I do including the clothes I’m going to wear the next day, especially if I’m going in to my office. The main reason I don’t meal prep is because I’m an extremely picky eater and absolutely do not like leftovers or food that’s more than a day old; except for some foods I’m ok eating after a day or two. So every night I “plan” my meals and cook them the next morning. I know exactly how long my meals are going to take to cook and prepare since I already planned the night before. I understand this isn’t realistic for many people but the point I’m trying to make is find what ever works for you and make a BIG HABIT of doing it. We are all different people and different things may work for most but not for some 🙋 ! . I’ve tried to meal prep in the past and most everything I cooked ended up in the trash because I just couldn’t eat it. I also will not buy my food prepared from a company because of the same reason. I certainly understand why so many of you choose to meal prep or buy your food prepared and sure wish I wasn’t so picky but I guess that’s what makes me so unique and lovable 😜 . Which ever you choose, just simply know that this LBC process does work and all of these amazing coaches (I call them Angels) are doing everything they can to see us succeed and become healthier happier individuals! Keith and Kim are not only teaching us to make better bad choices, they’re teaching us to make bigger better habits!!
My niece, who is more like my daughter, gave me this shirt today. Three things I really enjoy, but I set some new goals for myself with Chuck and one was to go alcohol free for two months. I am one week in. Wine was seriously negating all of my efforts and I noticed I was turning to it more frequently. Last week was a very stressful and emotional week for me and I didn’t cave. That’s a huge win for me for sure. So for now I will still enjoy my dogs and my weekends and my healthy LBC recipes, but the wine will have to wait for while. I’m focusing on getting unstuck. Keith’s posts were eye opening for me. Breaking my routine, eliminating my lame excuses and shaking things up a little bit. It was a good week ♥️
Hello LBC. Time for a 91 day update from when I started!
As some of you know I go in and get “pinched” so i can “see” results numerically. I wanted to share with you all what that looks like for me today. I will call out that a lot of these results are thanks to the motivation I receive in this group with the daily posts and comments.

I’m quite impressed with what I have done in 3 months. This is the leanest I have been maybe since College / High School Swimming days.
I definitely have had days where things didn’t go according to plan. And even last week it was determined I *may* have been eating too much turkey meatloaf. But so far the learning process has been fantastic here. For me the real beauty is realizing you can be successful without perfection. Keep up the great work LBC.
Today is my first day eating my prepped meals from my cook book and I have to say, so far I am impressed. The chocolate muffins make it feel like eating chocolate cake for breakfast. The whipped cottage cheese with fruit was delicious and the Spanish rice is to die for. Looking forward to trying to decide on meatloaf or cherry tomato meatballs for dinner tonight. Mmmmm
Hi everyone! I am HORRIBLE at selfies, but I’m so excited that I am down 5 pounds and 2 inches in my waist in the 8 weeks so far. The amazing part is that I can’t even do full workouts due to some lower body injuries. So I’ve just been doing upper body workouts, walking and my physical therapy for the bottom half. Just goes to show you eating right is a huge part of the equation. Coach Chuck Dertinger has been instrumental in encouraging and applauding me for all my efforts despite my injuries.
I have never done this before but I chose to bring my pumpkin muffins and some vegetables to munch on during my flight to Colorado. Normally I would buy something at the airport or on the plane mostly processed and fatty foods as we all know). I am staying at my sisters house and plan to buy all my other LBC foods once I get there so I can stick to my plan as much as possible! This was so asy and much less expensive! Yay!
